AFTER SEVERAL SHOWS FILMED, DOCUMENTARY FINALLY HAS A NAME.
| Three months ago this week, Director Joey Trask & Executive Producer Korey Hood rushed into production of their documentary when one of the nearby music venues they planned on profiling announced they would be hosting one final show before closing their doors for good. A rocky start for a duo working on their first major film project, but nevertheless, progress on the documentary continues. Shows all across Southeastern Virginia have been filmed, from Newport News, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. Genres so far include everything from hardcore, heavy metal, reggae, hip-hop, acoustic, with genres such as jazz, indie, punk rock, and alternative currently in the works. The name of the documentary, which has gone untitled since it began production in July, has been decided on, but won't be announced until later as the production team finalizes design work for all of the promo material. |
Production is expected to continue from now until January 2014, when the lengthy post-production process is expected to begin, involving everything from in-studio interviews, dubbing, commentary from various personalities in the 757 music scene, and of course, editing. No set release date has been set, but it is safe to say that it will be released sometime next year.
